Green Party co-leader Metria Turei was on Three's The Project tonight to discuss the Government's new water standards.
The government has pledged to make 90 percent of New Zealand rivers 'swimmable' by 2040, but the Greens have been scathing of the policy, saying the Government has simply 'shifted the goal posts about what water is considered swimmable.
Paul Henry, the guest host on tonight's panel, let viewers in on "the soft spot" he has for Ms Turei.
"I've always thought she's quite foxy" he said.
Fellow The Project host Kanoa Lloyd jumped in to say she had always found Ms Turei "smart and awesome".
