Two people have been shot in Newfield, Invercargill on Tuesday night.
One person has been taken into custody and police say they're not looking for anyone else at this time.
The shooting was on Otepuni Ave, just after 8pm, and the road has since been closed.
A witness told Newshub the road was cordoned off near the corner of Inglewood Rd, and she saw police coming out of a house on Otepuni Ave at around 10pm.
