A search and rescue operation has been launched near Westport on the West Coast for a missing Israeli man.
The 40-year-old was last seen in the Bucklands Peaks area of the Paparoa National Park on Tuesday.
He was seen wearing dark trousers and a red jacket at the time.
Police have concerns for his safety, as weather conditions have been dangerous with high winds, rain and some temperatures in the area dropping below 0degC over the last few days.
