Kiwi mum grieves three children killed in Australian crash

Three children of a Kiwi woman killed in a horror three-vehicle crash in Australia had been returning home from working at an agricultural expo.

Jaze Pink, who attended Auckland's Long Bay College, her husband Glenn and remaining children Coral, Jeanna, George and Patrick have been left devastated after the crash around 6am on Monday (local time).

The family make their living in catering and operating rides and had been coming back from the Dubbo Show where they had been working when the crash happened on the Newell Highway in Boggabilla, New South Wales.

Jack Pink, 19, Marina, who would have turned 18 on Tuesday, and 15-year-old Destiny all died when a truck, car and fuel tanker collided.

The driver of the fuel tanker, a man in his 30s, was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition, ABC News reports.

It's believed Jack was driving the truck which was towing a trailer, while the two sisters were in the car.

The family were members of the Showmens Guild of Australasia. Guild spokesman and family cousin John Davis says the deaths have been "devastating" for the family.

He says Glenn was in the car in front of the children when the crash happened, and had to return to the scene afterward.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family and has raised more than $61,000 in less than a day.

"Jaze and Glen are good people with an amazing family. Burdened with life troubles. Life is not easy. What they do is everything for the kids. To lose 1 would be crazy. They lost 3 in 1 split second is just out of this world [sic]," the page reads.

"They are great people and their sacrificial love for their kids knows no bounds. This is a crushing blow to this tight knit family."

It says the money will go toward the family who will now be out of work for months as they grieve the deaths of their loved ones.

Ms Pink has posted tributes to her children on Facebook, saying: "They touched everyone they met, the loved hard, they thought of others, the made [a] difference!"

Detective Inspector David Silversides of Barwon Local Area Command said police were trying to find out what happened.

"It's very early in the investigation but obviously the scene is quite dramatic," he said shortly after the crash.
