What's next for the Bluff oyster?

The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) has ordered a large-scale cull of farmed oysters in Stewart Island and the Marlborough Sounds in a bid to stop the spread of the Bonamia parasite.

Ministry officials have met with the owners of the infected farms to discuss how the operation will roll out.

MPI's director of readiness and responses Geoff Gwyn spoke to Duncan Garner.
