Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault on Mahia Beach on Wednesday morning.
A young woman says she was assaulted as she exercised on the beach, opposite the Mahia Golf Club on Ormond Drive.
The man is described as tall, of medium to fat build, with a beard or goatee.
The male was dressed in a dark woollen jersey with a hooded jumper underneath.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the Mahanga, Opoutama or Mahia areas between 6 and 7am on Wednesday who witnessed anyone behaving suspiciously.
