Christchurch has greeted Emirates Team New Zealand with icy cold conditions on Wednesday as part of their country-wide America's Cup celebrations.
Twenty-one members from the team arrived in the Garden City on Tuesday night ahead of the first of two parades in the South Island.
Snow fell in parts of the city overnight and throughout the morning, accompanied by temperatures of just 2degC at lunchtime.
Hundreds braved the cold to meet the team, which won the Auld Mug for the first time in 14 years after beating Oracle Team USA 7-1 in Bermuda in June.
Another victory parade is scheduled for Dunedin on Thursday.
