Thames police are on the lookout for a man caught on camera taking advantage of an elderly shopper at the local superette.
CCTV vision released by Totara Superette manager Kusum Vinayak shows the elderly man, who is a regular at the store, struggling to load his groceries into the back of his car when someone approaches him appearing to be offering to help the pensioner out.
However, instead of helping with the groceries the young man grabs cigarettes stored in the back of the old man's car and runs off.
Footage of the incident was posted on the "Safer Coromandel" Facebook page with many labelling the perpetrator a "disgusting scumbag".
Mrs Vinayak said it's the third robbery to take place at the store.
