The Government bans products containing plastic microbeads

The sale and manufacture of products containing tiny plastic microbeads will be banned by May next year, much earlier than expected.

The beads are found in toothpaste, cleaning products and many facial cleansers.

But Greenpeace says the policy falls short by not including things like makeup and supermarket plastic bags.

Greenpeace spokeswoman Elena di Palma spoke to Eric Young.
