2017 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards finalists announced

The Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards nomination list for this year has been revealed.

The awards will be held at Spark Arena on November 16, and celebrate the best New Zealand music of the year. 

This year there will be performances from Lorde, SWIDT, Theia, Teeks and Devilskin.

After the release of her second album Melodrama this year Lorde features heavy in the list of nominated artists. She's a finalist for Godfrey Hirst Album of the year, Three Best Solo Artist, The Edge Best Pop Artist and Vodafone People's Choice.

Onehunga-based rap group SWIDT has had a breakthrough year, receiving  nominations for Godfrey Hirst Album of the Year, Best Group, Best Hip Hop Artist and Vodafone People's Choice.

Kings has been nominated for Three Best Solo Artist, Best Hip Hop Artist and Vodafone's People's choice after last year's break out single 'Don't Worry About It'.

The VNZMAs will be broadcast live on Three on November 16 from 8.30pm.
