Auckland police are hunting for a male after a person allegedly recorded inside a changing room at Dress-Smart, in Auckland's Onehunga during the weekend.

Police were unable to comment on whether the male was being sought, whom they released a photo of, is the same male who allegedly recorded in the changing room.

Police were also unable to comment on the age of either male, including whether they were a teenager or an adult.

A photo has been released of one who police say they "believe can assist [their] enquiries".

The image is blurry but shows a young man with dark hair, wearing a black t-shirt, dark jeans and white sneakers, carrying what appears to be a gym bag.

Police said the alleged incident happened at around 3:45pm on Saturday in one of the Dress-Smart stores.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Constable Diana Levinson from Glen Innes Police on (09) 524 1910, or provide information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
