No charges to be laid over death of seven-year-old girl in cycle crash

The driver of a truck that hit and killed a seven-year-old when she was cycling home from school will not face charges.

Emma Warren was killed at an intersection on September 27 in Inglewood, Taranaki.

Police say the investigation by the Serious Crash Unit found no culpability on the part of driver of the vehicle or the company that owned the vehicle.

Following the conclusion of the investigation no criminal charges will be laid, and the death has been referred onto the Coroner.

Police have offered their sympathies to Emma's friends and family.
