Second offender arrested after taxi driver shooting

A teenage girl has been arrested in relation to the shooting of a Wellington taxi driver.

The girl has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grevious bodily harm and unlawful possession of a firearm.

She appeared in the Wellington District Court on Thursday.

Alem Tesema was shot in Miramar on Saturday night. Dylan Nuku, 26, was also arrested in relation to the incident.

The New Zealand police have thanked the public for assistance with the arrest and ask anyone with further information to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
