An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead in a reserve near Weiti River, north of Auckland on Saturday morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 2am, police said, after being notified by a member of the public.
A scene guard was in place overnight and a police investigation is continuing.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained," a police spokesman said. "There is no further information available at this stage."
