A body has been found in Lake Rotorua, police say.
A police spokesperson said they were alerted at about 2:45pm on Wednesday by a member of the public who "saw something of concern" in the water.
The body was recovered by police and they are in the process of formally identifying it.
The spokesperson added more details will be released once the body has been identified.
