IS hacks Australian Defence Force employees' personal details

Australian Defence Force employees, public servants and even an MP have been left terrified after Islamic State (IS) hacked their personal details, posting their home addresses and internet passwords online and calling on local extremists to launch attacks.

Australia correspondent Jason Morrison this morning joined Paul Henry to discuss the hack and how those affected only found out after the Sydney Morning Herald contacted them.

"I think what is remarkable is how the Sydney Morning Herald found out about it, through Twitter," says Mr Morrison. "IS has a hacking division and it has a [Twitter] account for it… it's quite convoluted."
