A major international summit on climate change and business is set to kick off in Auckland today.

It comes as countries prepare to meet in Paris in December to establish a new international climate change agreement.

So, are Kiwi businesses doing enough to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions?

"What I'm hearing very clearly from New Zealand business… is that they want to be more ambitious, they've got clear ideas of where business can work together to do more," the Sustainable Business Council's Penny Nelson told the Paul Henry programme this morning.

"They want to work together with their international business colleagues at Paris to work out what business can commercialise in scale to enable us to go faster."
