Video: Mark Hunt casts doubt over his UFC future

Mark Hunt has thrown his entire UFC future in doubt, suggesting that he's "probably" fought his last fight.

Hunt has made headlines of late with his constant criticism of the UFC organisation for their handling of dopers, namely Brock Lesnar, who tested positive before and after their fight in July 2016.

His next opponent is Alistair Overeem who also failed a drugs test prior to UFC146 in 2012.

Speaking from his home on the Gold Coast, Hunt doubted whether the fight would happen.

"Who knows if this fight against Alistair goes ahead," he told RadioLIVE.

"Who knows these days with all these cheating monkeys. To be honest I was supposed to fight in Melbourne last year, and turned down a fight with Josh Barnett who was a known doper and then guy was busted for steroids two days later."

Hunt again called out UFC boss Dana White and criticised the organisation for its lackadaisical stance on doping.

"Dana White is saying we should stick by our contracts, but why not stick by laws. They had the opportunity to fix this and they didn't. What does that tell you? They condone this s**t.

"You make rules for everyone and let some people slide. If you break the rules in society you get punished."

Hunt recently filed a lawsuit against the UFC and he said he was just trying to get a fair go.

"What I'm trying to do is make it an even playing field.

"It is meant to be a clean sport, It sends a message to the young kids who want to be fighters that all you have to do to make it to the top is take steroids, when in normal society you get punished.

"A year ban is not enough, a $250,000 fine is not enough. No amount of money is worth somebody's life."

The 42-year-old said he wasn't going to stop until the sport was clean.

"I've made plenty of mistakes in my life, but I have learnt from them.

"I go looking for other work. I know other companies will employ me at least then I know the chances of them being on steroids are high."

When asked if his career was over if the Overeem fight fell through, Hunt responded "I probably think so".

The fight is scheduled for March 4 at UFC209 in Las Vegas.
