Highlights: Steven Adams helps OKC Thunder down Cleveland Cavaliers

The Oklahoma City Thunder got one back on the world champions on Friday (NZ time), with Kiwi Steven Adams starring as the hosts closed out the LeBron-led Cavaliers 118-106 at Cheaspeake Arena.

Adams filled the stat sheet with 20 points on an efficient 9-14 field goals, 13 boards, a pair of blocks and a steal as the Thunder gained vengeance for their heavy defeat in Cleveland at the end of January.

The Rotorua-product dominated the glass at both ends of the court, pulling down nine of his 13 total rebounds at the offensive end to open up numerous second-chance opportunities for a rampant Russell Westbrook-powered backcourt.

Westbrook bought up his 26th triple-double of the season (29 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists), while shooting guard Victor Oladipo added 23 points and seven boards of his own.

Point guard Kyrie Irving was the pick of the visitors, showcasing his arsenal of off-the-dribble moves on his way to a team-high 28 points, including four three-pointers.

The Thunder will remain at home for a highly anticipated grudge match with Kevin Durant's Golden State Warriors on Sunday (NZT).
