Video: Deontay Wilder happy to fight Joseph Parker in New Zealand

Deontay Wilder's camp have said they are more than happy to fight kiwi WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker in New Zealand.

The WBC champion is defending his title against American compatriot Gerald Washington state side on Sunday [NZT], and trainer Jay Deas is confident that should he get past his challenger, a fight with Parker on New Zealand soil is on the cards.

"Deontay's goal is to unify the heavyweight division, he said.

"We don't care where we have to go. If we have to go to New Zealand, we will go to New Zealand."

"Deontay is keen to go where ever he needs to go to prove he is the best heavyweight in the world."

Parker's first title defence was confirmed on Saturday [NZT], against Britain's Hughie Fury in May.

Deas warned Parker to not look past the undefeated challenger, but if he gets the job done then Wilder will be waiting.

"First we got to take care of business with  Gerald Washington and Joseph has to take care of buiseness with Hughie Fury – once we do that, and everything comes out good on the other side, let's put it together, let's make it happen."
