Highlights: Arsenal thumped by Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have humiliated Arsenal 3-0 putting Arsene Wenger's Gunners' managerial career on life support.

With a dicey record of seven points from seven games, Arsenal would have hoped to get a reprieve coming up against the lowly Palace.

However, Sam Allardyce's Palace were faster, hungrier and more accurate when it counted with a goal to former Spurs forward Andros Townsend in the first quarter before second half goals to Yohan Cabaye and Luka Milivojevic killed off the game.

Wenger was left scratching his head at the end of the match as his team struggled for any cohesian with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil once again the only players going forward.

But that's not to downplay how good the hosts were with Christian Benteke putting in a shift up front to make room for Wilfried Zaha and Townsend.

In fact, by the end of the match, the commentators said Arsenal were flattered by the 3-0 scoreline, such was Palace's domination.

The result means Arsenal remain inside the top six but sit level on points with Everton in seventh. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace look to have escaped the drop, sitting six points above the relegation zone with one game in hand.

They also have five victories from five matches.
