Blackcaps captain Kane Williamson played another masterful hand for his Sunrisers Hyderabad side in the IPL this morning (NZ time), blasting a quickfire half-century to guide them to victory over Kings XI Punjab.
Williamson slammed an unbeaten 54 off just 27 balls, including six boundaries, to carry the Sunrisers to a total of 207/3 from their 20 overs.
Another New Zealander, Martin Guptill, lead off the run chase for Kings XI with a belligerent opening two overs of boundary hitting before falling in the third over.
Despite an electric 54 from 50 balls from Australian Shaun Marsh, Kings XI ultimately fell 26 runs short.
