The Warriors will be without Inform prop James Gavet for six weeks after the 27-year old broke his arm at training during the week.

Gavet suffered a knock in the Warriors 34-22 loss to the Panthers last Friday night, but scans came back negative.

However, Gavet re-injured the arm during training on Wednesday, and x-rays confirmed a fracture in the radius.

Gavet has been one of the Warriors best players in 2017, in 13-games the forward has run for 1460 metres and has 31 tackles breaks

He joins a growing casualty list which includes Shaun Johnson (knee), Ryan Hoffman (foot), Albert Vete (arm), Charlie Gubb (hernia) and Nathaniel Roache (hamstring).

It is another big blow for the Warriors who need to win at least five of their last seven matches to make the playoffs for the first time since 2011.

The Auckland club lost playmaker Shaun Johnson during the week for the rest of the season due to a knee injury.

The Warriors have struggled playing in Townsville, having only won one match in North Queensland in their last 11 visits.
