David Fusitu'a unsure who he will represent at Rugby League World Cup

Warriors' winger David Fusitu'a is yet to decide where his allegiance lies ahead of the Rugby league World Cup later in the year.

The 22-year-old has represented Tonga once and the Kiwis three times, and is eligible to play for both at the World Cup.

Both the Kiwis and Tonga have been drawn in pool B for the tournament along with Samoa and Scotland.

Fusitu'a can play on the wing, or in the centres and can ever cover fullback, and his decision on who he will play for will come down to where he feels like he can play the most during the tournament.

"I'd love to play for Kiwis as I grew up here but I have a strong heritage coming from Tonga," Fusitu'a told Newshub.

"I'd love to play for either one of them as long as I get to play I guess. We will have to wait and see what happens."

In a dispiriting season where the Warriors have only won seven matches, Fusitu'a has had a breakout season for the club.

He is the only player who has played in every game this season and leads the team in tries scored with 12 in 23 matches.

The high-flyer puts his form down to being able to battle through injuries and remain healthy.

"I have had a few niggles throughout the season but I have been able to push through.

"Been able to play every game is a first for me and I want to keep that going and stay injury free.

"I would have liked to have strung a few more wins together. Having no chance to make the finals is disappointing but we will start building for next season."

The Warriors' will be looking to avoid a record ninth-straight loss when they face the Wests Tigers in their final match of the season on Sunday night.

The Tigers, coached by former Warriors player and Coach Ivan Cleary, have beaten the New Zealand side in their last three clashes.

Fusitu'a is expected a fired up Tigers side, but he knows the Warriors will be equally as fired up as they try to avoid an unwanted record.

"I'm looking g forward to a hard match against them and I know they will come out firing.

"There is nothing to really play for but we still want to go out there and be better than we were last week.

"We fell short right at the end so we will be looking to do what we can to get the win, especially for those boys who are departing."
