Third seed Roger Federer has stormed into the fourth round of the US Open, after beating Feliciano Lopez in straight sets in New York.
The World No. 3 defeated the Spaniard 6-3, 6-3, 7-5 in one hour and 46 minutes, under the roof in Arthur Ashe Stadium on a rainy Saturday night.
Next for the Swiss superstar is a match against German Philipp Kohlschreiber, who beat John Millman 7-5, 6-2, 6-4 in his third-round match.
Federer has never lost in 11 matches against the world No. 33.
The 36-year-old is looking for his third Grand Slam title of the season, and his first US Open crown since 2008.
