She takes no prisoners on the athletics field but Dame Valerie Adams has shared her maternal side in posting the first pictures of her baby daughter, Kimoana Josephine Adams Price.
The two-time Olympic champion posted four photos of her then three-day old baby Kimoana after being bathed and dressed by family members.
The proud mum wrote "At 3 days old, she had her 2 nana's and her papa come in to bathe her for the first time," she said.
"It was so beautiful to watch them in action and the amount of love and joy expressed was just amazing," she added.
Dame Valerie added that her family couldn't be happier with the new addition and commented that being a mum is bigger than winning gold at the Olympics.
