Parker v Joshua: Tyson Fury labels Joseph Parker and Anthony Joshua 'bums' in social media rant

  • 02/04/2018

The man who ruled heavyweight boxing for all of five minutes has thrown punches at Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker.

Brit Tyson Fury, who hasn't fought since claiming three of boxing's big four titles against Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, has labelled the pair 'bums'.

Fury vacated his belts and announced his retirement in 2016 as a pending investigation into doping offences hung over his head.

That has since been resolved and the 29-year-old is planning a comeback later this year.

Watching the unified title fight from his home in Manchester, Fury let fly on social media at his disappointment in what he was watching unfold in Cardiff.

"Just watching these two and I'm telling you they're a pair of wooden tops," Fury said in posts that have since been removed.

"They're not even good enough to be my sparring partners, the pair of them.

"They're a pair of bums. No panache, no flair, no show. Waste of money.

"There's only one Tyson Fury for a reason. This is my year 2018, they're a pack of bums."

The belts Fury once possessed are all now in the hands of Joshua after his unanimous decision win over Parker on Sunday.

The Kiwi and 'The Gypsy King' have shown mutual respect for each other in the past, and that was evident in the one semi-compliment he said during his rant.

"Parker is what Parker is - he's a young lad trying"

During his post-fight interview Joshua added Fury's name, alongside WBC champion Deontay Wilder, as his preferred next opponent.

Fury, somewhat sarcastically, suggested that fighting Wilder wouldn't be the smart move.

"Listen AJ, please don't fight Wilder because he'll knock you spark out and take my £50 million. Let me break you and your little bum."

"I could beat AJ in my comeback, treble a jab up, swing the right hand up, downstairs, upstairs, ain't good enough to be a sparring partner. That was a s**t fight, a s**t performance by both fighters."
