Crusaders dominate the Rebels again at scrum time and win a relieving penalty after the kick-off. Havili rejoins his team on the field.

The Crusaders forwards dominate their counterparts at a midfield scrum and from the penalty, Mounga slots the goal to send his side into halftime with the lead.
Miraculously, the Rebels have missed 24 tackles over the opening 40 minutes and are still in the contest.

From the attacking scrum, Mafi charges from the back, but the Crusaders defence is tremendous and the Rebels knock on. Hodges returns.

From the lineout, the Crusaders spin the ball, but Hodge stick out his hand to stop the movement and is sin-binned for a deliberate knockdown.

Mafi takes the ball off the back of the scrum and charges towards the line. The Crusaders defence smother him and win the penalty for not releasing.

Cottrell charges down a clearing kick from Crotty and kicks towards the Crusaders line. Tamanivalu prevents him from scoring, but Goodhue and Debreczeni continue the chase, and video replays show Goodhue touched down first - just.
