Golden State Warriors have seized control of the NBA’s Western Conference finals with a dominant 126-85 Game Three win over the Houston Rockets on Monday (NZT).

The Warriors marked their return to Oakland with an emphatic display at both ends of the court and Steph Curry made a timely return to form, leading his side to a 2-1 series lead.

Curry exploded in the third quarter, pouring in 18 points on his way to a game-high 35, essentially killing off any chance of a Rockets win.

Teammate Kevin Durant continued his strong play with 25 points, six rebounds and six assists.

Meanwhile, Houston's Game Two hero, Chris Paul, struggled with his shot, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while James Harden tallied 20 points and nine assists.

The two sides remain in California for Game Four at Oracle Arena on Wednesday (NZT).
