The Warriors have made just one change to the starting side to take on the Sydney Roosters at Mt. Smart Stadium on Saturday.

Injury has forced Shaun Johnson out of contention, with halves revelation Mason Lino set to step back into the No. 7 jersey he occupied so impressively in the 30-6 win over the Roosters in round four.

Johnson limped from the field in clear discomfort in the dying minutes of the 26-4 victory over the Wests Tigers on Saturday. It's yet unknown exactly how many more weeks he may miss, but he's still wearing a moon boot on the troublesome ankle and is walking on crutches.

Hooker Issac Luke is being given every chance to prove his fitness after dislocating his shoulder, and promptly popping it back into place, last weekend.

"We gave Issac every chance to play last week after injuring his knee against Melbourne and he came through. Once again, we'll give him every opportunity this week," said coach Stephen Kearney.

Replacement No. 9 Karl Lawton has been named to an extended bench after his stellar two-try debut.

Meanwhile forward Adam Blair has successfully recovered from the ankle complaint which saw him leave the field early against the Tigers, and will take his place in the starting pack.

There’s one change on the extended bench with utility Jazz Tevaga re-taking his place after overcoming the shoulder injury which saw him miss the Tigers game.

The Warriors are currently riding a four-game win streak over the sixth-placed Sydneysiders, whose form has been erratic since the marquee acquistions of Cooper Cronk and James Tedesco.

This weekend will mark the NRL's annual Indigenous Round, and the Warriors will celebrate accordingly by donning a new jersey which celebrates New Zealand's Māori heritage.

The match is scheduled to kick-off at 5pm.
