Kiwi boxer David Nyika has been reunited with his stolen Commonwealth Games gold medal.
Waikato police confirmed they'd recovered the gold medal, which the heavyweight won on the Gold Coast last month and later had taken from his car in Hamilton.
"Firstly, everyone in the CCTV footage was identified and most importantly, we got the medal back!" said Detective Sergeant Paul Slater on Facebook.
"That is so awesome! Well done to Paul and your team. I am sure David Nyika will be stoked."

Images from CCTV footage captured by a nearby retail store helped produce the information that led to its recovery.
"My girlfriend took the call," Nyika told Stuff on Tuesday. "I was downstairs in the garage and I could hear through my headphones this high-pitched shrieking.
"I quickly realised what had happened."
The Gold Coast triumph was Nyika's second Commonwealth Games success - he also won gold in the light heavyweight division four years earlier at Glasgow.
