Eddie Murphy has roasted comedian Bill Cosby in his first stand-up set since 1987, just moments after winning a humour award in Washington.
The acclaimed actor used his acceptance speech for the Mark Twain prize for humour to poke fun at Cosby, a former winner, who recently became embroiled in a host of sexual misconduct accusations.
"Did y'all make Bill give his back?" Murphy joked.
"Because I know there was a big outcry from people who wanted Bill to give his trophy back. You know you f****d up when they want you to give your trophy back."
Murphy received the prize overnight in the presence of a star-studded array of comedians, including Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan and Dave Chappelle.
