A Malaysia Airlines flight has made a rocky landing, skidding in wet weather at an airport in Borneo.

Flight MH2718, a Boeing 737-800, had 67 people on board when it came in to land at Sibu Airport in Sarawak, Borneo on Saturday night (local time).

No one was hurt in the accident.

"All onboard safely disembarked via two slide rafts. No injuries have been reported so far," Malaysia Airlines said in a statement.

"The safety of all passengers is of utmost priority to Malaysia Airlines."

An investigation has been launched to find out why the plane skidded.

Malaysia Airlines had two high-profile disasters in recent years. In 2014, one plane disappeared en route to China, while another was shot down over eastern Ukraine.
