Racist Pokémon -like posters calling for the deportation of immigrants have emerged in Sydney.

The posters resemble Pokémon cards, reimagining the show's catchphrase in a derogatory manner: "Gotta catch & deport em all".

They target prominent members of Australia's Muslim community, including activist Yassmin Abdel-Magied who is labelled a "self-confessed 'most hated Muslim in Australia'" and a "big-mouthed Australiaphobe".

TV host Waleed Aly was also targeted by the posters, which call him "charming yet insidious".

Green Party Senator Sarah Hanson-Young, Asians and the Apex gang are also targets of the racist posters.

New South Wales police say they're aware of the posters and are investigating.

White pride group Aussie Nationalists took credit for them, encouraging Sydney residents to "spread the love in your area".
