A motorcyclist who wasn't paying attention to the road has inadvertently become the poster-child for distracted driving.
The man, who has not been named, was driving down a street in Beihai city, China, on Thursday, when a sinkhole unexpectedly opened up.
He was using his phone at the time and didn't notice the road was no longer there, instead driving straight into the hole.

The man can be seen slowing down as he approaches the hole, still looking at a phone in his hand, but doesn't quite stop in time.
Instead he tips over the edge and falls off his bike, right in front of an astonished pedestrian.
The man was rescued and wasn't seriously hurt, according to CCTV.
