Chicken McNuggets scatter 'like a bomb' across Victorian highway

One million chicken nuggets have closed a major Australian freeway after a truck rolled spilling the contents.

VicRoads VicTraffic posted on Facebook said contractors were cleaning up around one million chicken nuggets and spilt diesel on the Hume Freeway between Melbourne and Sydney.

The truck reportedly collided with a parked car before crashing through a median barrier where it finally came to rest on its side.

Sergeant Dean Pickering told 3AW it looked like a bomb went off at the scene.

The truck driver and his dog who was inside at the time of the incident are believed to be uninjured, The Herald Sun reports.

The incident has left people in stitches, one person commenting on the post "LMAO NO NOT THE CHICKEN NUGGETS".
