Alleged drink-driver hits pedestrians

A woman has been arrested after hitting three pedestrians while allegedly drink-driving in Christchurch last night.

The 45-year-old ploughed into the group on the footpath in Red Cliffs after she missed a corner on Main Road.

One person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries while two others were treated at the scene with minor injuries.

The woman will appear in court charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol.
