A man has been arrested following an armed police operation in New Plymouth.
Police were called to a house in Upper Vogeltown around 6am this morning after "reports of a dispute".
It had been reported police with rifles were manning two cordons however they have now been taken down.
Both road blocks were in place on Carrington St, the first at the intersections of Carrington and Huatoki streets and the second at the roundabout at Tarahua Rd.
No traffic was being allowed through and motorists were asked to avoid the area.
