A young child has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a dog attack in Dunedin.
St John was alerted just after 2:30pm today and sent an ambulance to Cavell St, Tainui.
The girl, aged under 5, was taken to Dunedin Hospital.
The Dunedin City Council was notified of the incident and is investigating. A spokesperson was unable to confirm the breed of dog.
