A late-night liaison on school grounds has left an amorous couple and police in Cambridge blushing.
Cambridge Police wrote about the "interesting wee job" on their Facebook page, saying they initially thought they were responding to a burglary in progress when were called to Cambridge Middle School around 9:50pm yesterday.
The young lovers – both wearing dark clothes - were seen parking their cars and running into the school grounds, causing someone to report a possible burglary in action to police.
When officers responded to the call, however, it wasn't a break-in they witnessed but another kind of activity.
"Needless to say, we were very surprised when we rounded a corner and found a young couple in the early stages of a 'rendezvous'!" police wrote.
"Once they were re-clothed they were kindly asked to move their show elsewhere...!"
Police ended the post with their #betterworkstories hashtag.
