A homicide investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in Wellington on Friday evening.
Police were called to the Strathmore address at around 7:30pm on Friday after reports a woman was injured, but the 37-year-old was found dead at the scene.
A second 37-year-old woman was at the address and is being spoken to by police. No one else is currently sought in relation to the death.
It was an "isolated incident" and the community should not be concerned for their safety, Wellington police say.
Police will remain at the scene overnight and a cordon is in place.
