Emergency services have been called to an address in the Bay of Plenty town of Opotiki after reports a dog bit a female.
The incident occurred around 8:40pm on Thursday evening and police were asked to attend by ambulance staff at the scene.
Currently, there is no information regarding the extent of the woman's injuries.
