E-cigarettes: The key to ending addiction?

A symposium on the threats and opportunities of e-cigarettes is being held this week by the University of Auckland's Centre of Addiction.

Consumers, regulators and policymakers will be attending the meeting, which is the first of its kind to be held in the country.

Auckland University director of the National Institute for Health and Innovation professor Chris Bullen says it's not looking likely New Zealand will be smokefree by 2025, as the Government has wants.

Plain packaging, smokefree environments and increasing costs are helping, but could innovation in the form of e-cigarettes be what provides the breakthrough?
