Orana Wildlife Park was into the Christmas swing of things today with festive themed treats for the animals.
It is partly for the enrichment of the animals, head keeper of exotic mammals Rob Clifford says, and partly for the keepers who wanted some silly season fun.
The gorillas got to open presents filled with nuts and raisins, the Rhinos smashed open boxes of their favourite hay and Gemma the cheetah got stuck into a blood ice block.
The crowds were out in force to enjoy the animals being treated to Christmas a day early.
