Kiwi comedy-duo Jono Pryor and Ben Boyce are getting behind New Zealand's own competitive eater Nela Zisser.
The former Miss Earth New Zealand has always been up to a challenge; having downed a five-foot Subway sandwich in nine minutes and 32 seconds earlier this month.
And now, she wants to travel to the US to take on the world's best at a Hot Dog Eating Competition.
Now, she has her eyes on the Hot Dog Championship and Pryor says it all comes down to technique.
"She's has a system," he explains. "She dips the bread in water [before putting it into her mouth] and the soggy bread helps the hot dog go down."
"She's trained herself to turn off the thought process in her head which tells her that she's getting full or that she needs to vomit."
Pryor and Boyce say they want to get behind Ms Zisser because, "New Zealand needs another champion".
"We lost the Cricket World Cup, we're not sure if we have another shot at the America's Cup – we need something and this could be it!"
They've nicked named the hopeful-world champ "Selmo-Nela".
