Police are investigating a holdup at a shop in Lower Hutt on Monday night that involved a sawn-off shotgun.
Workers were threatened with the gun and with a knife when four people robbed the shop on Taita Drive just before 9pm, police say.
Police are appealing for sightings of a blue three door coupe 318TI, 1995 model, with the registration BRE645.
No one was injured, but a cash register was taken.
