Police are investigating an aggravated robbery in Hastings, which left a 77-year-old man hospitalised with serious injuries.
Police say the incident on Heretaunga St East occurred after two women broke into the man's home around 12:30am, assaulted him and stole his vehicle.
The public is being asked to keep an eye out for the green and silver Toyota Carib station-wagon with the registration YH6964, and to contact Detective Sergeant Jason Crowe at Hawkes Bay Police on (06) 381 0700 with any information.
