New photos taken inside Christchurch’s Grand Chancellor Hotel show the extent of the damage to one of Christchurch’s tallest buildings.
The photos show columns inside the hotel that have cracked and splintered.
And outside where the next door city council car park has smashed into the side of the hotel, trapping cars parked in the floors below.
The 26-storey hotel moved a meter during the earthquake and will be demolished.
