Te Wiki o te Reo Māori

It’s Māori Language Week or Te Wiki o te Reo Māori.

Throughout the week, Newshub will be taking a deeper look at the language, and how it's being used and celebrated around the country. We'll also have daily facts and phrases, and information on how you can incorporate more Te Reo Māori into your daily life.

To start you off, here are some flash cards to stick around the house to help you and your family learn the Māori words for everyday items.

If you'd like to learn more of the language, check out one of the many courses on offer around the country.
