NZ First leader Winston Peters has shown up John Key by uploading a video of him successfully hammering a nail into a campaign hoarding in Northland.
A video of the Prime Minister failing to properly use a hammer and nail in a hoarding of National Northland by-election candidate Mark Osborne last week has gone viral.
Mr Key later admitted he isn't quite the handyman, and says wife Bronagh gets someone else in to do work around the house when needed.
In response to the video this afternoon, Mr Peters sent a tweet with a link to the video, saying: "This is how a real Kiwi bloke handles a hammer".
Mr Peters smiles wryly at the camera before taking a nail out of his mouth.
